Choose a template

Templates give you a starting point based on common configurations. Instead of making all 10 blood choices from scratch, you can start with a proven pattern and customize from there.

How to browse templates

1. Go to /templates or click "Browse Templates" on the creation page.
2. Filter by category — Faith-Based, Evidence-Based, Surgery Prep, etc.
3. Click any template to see its full blood choice configuration and rationale.
4. Use the verbosity tabs (Card / Standard / Exhaustive) to see what the rendered Directive looks like.
5. Click "Use This Template" to pre-fill the editor with those choices.

Types of templates

• Sample Directives — complete with fictional data (Maria, Sarah, Ruth). These show what a finished Directive looks like. Use "Create Similar" to copy only the blood choices.
• Official templates — curated configurations with educational context explaining the reasoning. These pre-fill your blood choices and suggested instructions.

Don't want a template?

You can always start blank and make each choice yourself. On the creation page, click "Start from scratch" to enter the editor with no pre-filled choices.
